The Wii takes advantage of wireless connectivity in a way that video game systems have not in the past. Previously, the option has allowed gamers to play others across the street or across the planet. Now, they will be able to use its connectivity to access this new “channel.” Other currently available channels allow users to access weather forecasts, buy games from older game systems, and browse the internet.
Consumers now have yet another reason to shun the traditional media outlets of TV, radio, and print. I am sure most of these users are younger, as well.
